It is important to do as much research as possible before bringing that special puppy or older dog into your life. There are many books available on the Golden Retriever that provide a generous amount of information. But - the best thing way to learn is to talk to breeders, owners and handlers of these wonderful dogs. Ask questions of all of these people as they are willing and eager to discuss all of the implications and responsibilities involved in making the Golden Retriever an important member of your family.

Golden Retriever Rescue is, unfortunately, a growing necessity due to the extreme popularity of the breed. We are very fortunate to have a number of caring volunteers help to place abused or abandoned Golden Retrievers into loving families. We sincerely support the efforts of these dedicated few.

Please visit their websites, sign their guestbooks and read about their wonderful deeds.
