The foundation dog of Malagold Kennels, Buff was born on December 5, 1966. He was highly revered as an Outstanding Sire and the first Malagold member of the Show Dog Hall of Fame, going Best of Breed at the 1970 Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty.

Over an esteemed show career, Buff earned three all breed Best in Show, with over 100 group placements and 18 Group 1 wins. He was as intelligent as he was handsome, achieving a Dog World Award for Obedience upon the completion of his Companion Dog (CD) title.

Buff has provided a significant contribution to the beauty and quality of the golden retriever breed as it is today. He is the sire of the one of the most significant bitches in to be found in golden retriever pedigrees - Malagold Beckwith Bootes - producer of eleven champions in her own right!

Buff himself can be found in the history of many an outstanding golden retriever pedigree and his legacy continues on today. What a wonderful beginning for Malagold!
